While the summer of 2005 was blazing hot in West Texas, it was also Battery Joe’s start to blazing the trails of the retail battery business. The people of West Texas just wanted a place where they could find power for their dead devices. Watches wouldn’t keep time, cars wouldn’t start, people couldn’t talk on their phones and families couldn’t capture their memories. It was total chaos…..then the doors of the first Battery Joe opened up. The people of West Texas rejoiced as devices sprang to life and the power cords of bondage fell away.
As a company we are a pretty simple bunch, and the philosophies today are the same as they have been since Day #1
- Exceed the customer’s expectations. Just give better service than anyone else, and have more batteries under one roof than anyone even thought existed.
- The answer is Always Yes for Any reasonable request. This one’s pretty simple: If a customer needs it done and we can do it; then we just do what we can to make it happen.
- If we catch on fire with enthusiasm, people will drive from miles around just to watch us burn. As you can tell, we are crazy about customers, and we are crazy about batteries. We care about what we do and we want everyone to know about it!
- Go the Extra Mile Every Day. To serve not just sell product is our passion.
- Have the batteries that keep everyone going so everyone has a way to come back.
Battery Joe is a company that has got a lot of growing to do, but with cutting-edge stores that stock more batteries than anyone else, service that just makes you smile, and all-star employees and leaders who take charge, Battery Joe is the rock star of the battery business. The passion and dedication that was there on Day 1 is the same culture that drives our business today. “Take Care of the Customer, Take Care of the Store, Take Care of Business.” That’s our Golden Rule. The Battery Joe team is a bunch of ordinary guys who do extraordinary things every day. They all make the business what it is, and they make customers for life every day. They hustle and do whatever it takes to get the job done. Everyone at Battery Joe enjoys the entrepreneurial lifestyle and won’t settle for anything less than being the best at what we do.
